Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born on March 4, 1954. She is a comedian from Canada actor, writer, and actress. O'Hara has won a number of awards, including the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She also won two Primetime Emmy Awards and six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, she was named an Officer of Canada and in 2020, she was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement award. O'Hara made her name as an actress as a member in 1974 of The Second City, an improvisational comedy troupe based in Toronto. Dan Aykroyd and John Candy were also part of her main ensemble in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara began working with Candy on Second City Television's sketch comedy program (1976-1984). O'Hara was recognized for her stand-up and writing skills, winning the Primetime Emmy Award of Outstanding Writing for Variety Series in 1981. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the newly formed Second City artistic advisory board headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
