The people and friends I met at Baylor definitely affected my life. Karen Pope, Art History department. My classes for my major were taken by Dr. Pope. We also visited Paris and Chicago in order to study the art. She made studying art great fun and a week is never a time without me recollecting her sayingthat "Art history is a massive puzzle, and as art historians, we keep looking for pieces to connect." My father was in the auto business, and I had to work in the dealership each summer. I was employed one summer as a mechanic's assistant, changing oil and brake pads.
