Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn, born 19th August 1965, is an American actress. She is most famous for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick earned a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The show ended after the seventh season. Sedgwick is also remembered for her recurring character in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) as well as What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who was an therapist for speech and family and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV who was a venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian as well as of English heritage. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish, and she has said that she participates in Passover seders.
